Description
Elm Tree House is a house dating from the late 16th century, with a rear extension added in the 19th century and restoration carried out in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed and clad in whitewashed render, featuring decorative incising. It has a plain tiled roof with a band of fishscale tiles along the eaves. The house is two storeys tall with an attic in the gable to the right. The windows are leaded casements, with four on the first floor and four on the ground floor to the left, along with larger two glazing bar sashes on the ground floor to the right. There is a glazed door located to the right of centre, set within a tent-roofed porch that is open and supported by wooden posts. The rear stack has been rebuilt and is positioned to the left of centre, while there is a corbelled end stack to the right. Inside, substantial amounts of framing are visible.
