Description

A row of three cottages located on Ripley High Street. The cottages display an early 19th-century facade applied to a probable 17th-century timber-framed core. The exterior is constructed of brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a tiled roof and a brick chimney stack. The cottages are two storeys high. The front elevation features two windows; these are 12-pane sash windows with horns. Doorways to numbers 1 and 2 have six-panelled doors, and number 1 has a reeded architrave with a decorative patera. The side elevation has a varied pattern of windows, including two 12-pane sash windows with horns, three 19th-century casement windows, and one 20th-century window. Number 3 has a plank door to the rear. The interior contains visible 17th-century timber framing, and number 1 retains 17th-century wooden mullioned windows.
