Description

This lamp post, located 30 yards northeast of the monument in Whiteley Village, dates from around 1912. It is made of cast iron and features a square, four-legged base with a diagonally framed basket top. The lamp post has a tapering standard supported by a decorative lantern, which is topped with a finial and mounted on a double scroll-work arm that curves in an S-shape.
