Description

This lamp post, located opposite number 20 on Octagon Road in Whiteley Village, dates from around 1912. It is made of cast iron and features a square, four-legged base with a diagonally framed basket top. The lamp post has four kegged, tapering standards, and the lantern is topped with a decorative finial. The lantern is supported by a double, scroll-work arm that curves in an S-shape.
