Description

This lamp post, located opposite North Model Cottage in Whiteley Village, dates from around 1912. It is made of cast iron and features a square, four-legged base with a diagonally framed basket top. The lamp post has a tapering standard supported by a decorative lantern that is topped with a finial. The lantern is held by a double scroll-work arm that has an s-curve design.
