Description

This is a lamp post located opposite number 24 on Octagon Road in Whiteley Village, dating from around 1912. It is made of cast iron and features a square, four-legged base with a diagonally framed basket top. The lamp post has a tapering standard that is also four-legged, and it supports a lantern topped with a decorative finial, which is held by a double scroll-work, s-curve arm.
