Almshouse pair. Circa 1912 by Frank Atkinson. Red brick with plain tiled roof and tall central ridge stack. Single storey . 4 bays with large casements in centre two bays and 2 wide, shallow arch headed entrances in outer two. Gauged heads to openings and ashlar keystones over entrances . Whiteley Vlllage was provided by William Whiteley of Whiteley's stores and was for thrifty old folk. Laid put on an octagonal plan by Frank Atkinson employing leading architects of the day.
