Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage row located in the Borough of Elmbridge, Cobham. The building is constructed of brick on a rendered plinth and has a plain tiled roof with ridge stacks in the centre and to the left, and an end stack to the right. It is two storeys high, with a brick band above the ground floor and brick dentil eaves. There are five casement windows across the first floor. The ground floor windows to the right have gauged brick heads, while those to the left are under cambered heads. A half-glazed door, labelled “Post Boys”, is to the left, sheltered by a flat porch hood supported on scroll brackets. A half-glazed double door, leading to “Old Cottage”, is to the right, set within a 20th-century gabled brick porch. A two-wing extension is located at the rear, positioned at right angles to the front. The wing to the left is tile-hung and has a hipped roof, while the wing to the right is a 20th-century addition.
