Description
This is an 18th-century office terrace, known as The Old House and Vine House, located on Portsmouth Road, Cobham. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick with a plain tiled Mansard roof, and features end and centre stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic space, the latter hidden behind flat-roofed dormers. The terrace has eight bays, with the outer bays set back at each end. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, most with gauged brick heads. The ground floor features bow windows in the second, fourth, fifth, and seventh bays. A twelve-panel door and fanlight are found in the third bay (No. 39), protected by a deep panelled reveal and an open pediment surround on Doric pilasters, approached by a flight of four stone steps. Similarly, a ten-panel door with fanlight is located in the sixth bay (No. 41). A glazed office window and door are at the right-hand end of the building.
