Description

Cobham Bridge is a bridge built in 1792, with its parapets rebuilt in 1914. It is constructed of red brick with stone coping and pontoons. The bridge features nine arches that have blue brick edging and roundels in the spandrels. Above the arches, there is a stone string course, with two circular squinches on either side of the central arch, supported by tapering supports with sphere corbels. The 20th-century parapets are approximately 4 feet high and include an inscribed plaque on the south wall.
