Description

Burford Post Office, Meath Cottage, and Tor Cottage are three houses that have been divided, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The buildings feature a freestone façade that was formerly painted and have a slate roof. They are two storeys high with two windows on the first floor, which have wide paned sashes. The ground floor has a late 19th-century shop front with pilaster strips, glazing bars, and a central entry. To the right, there is an alleyway entrance, which is built of ashlar on the right-hand side. The inner doorway features a Tudor arch with a moulded surround and panelled spandrels, above which is a bressumer and string, along with a window that resembles 16th-century design. There is a long two-storey extension at the rear that includes Meath and Tor Cottages. Inside, the buildings have wide chamfered beams.
