Description
Shoo Cottage is a house located on the east side of Burford and Upton High Street, originally part of the Burford Gallery, dating back to the 16th century with alterations made in the 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and features an ashlar chimney on the right side. It stands two storeys tall and has a string course above the ground floor, which is complemented by a wooden spreader course.
Above a plain doorway with a chamfered wood lintel to the right, there are two reset 16th-century quatrefoils that contain rosettes. The first floor has two windows, likely from the 18th century, which are of the three-light wooden mullion and transom type, fitted with 20th-century leaded casements. To the left, there is a 20th-century hipped angled shop window.
