Description
The Cotswold Bookshop and Windrush Valley Cleaners is a house dating from around 1800. It is built of ashlar with a Cotswold stone roof, featuring coped verges and brick end chimneys. The building has three storeys, with a plinth and bands above the ground and first floors, as well as a moulded cornice and parapet. There are three windows, which are 16-pane sashes with keys, although the centre window is blind. A central half-glazed door leads to a flagged alley. At the rear, there are two projecting gabled two-storey wings, and the rear courtyard is closed off by a much-altered two-storey cottage. The rear south wing includes an elliptical headed fireplace.
