Description

Providence House is a house dating back to the 16th century, with a front that was rebuilt around 1870. It is constructed of squared rubble with a slate roof, incorporating earlier timber-framed sections. The house is two storeys high with attics, and features two gables projecting from the street line to the north. The ground floor has two windows with wide-paned sashes to the left. A contemporary shop window, also with a sash, and a bracketed fascia are located to the right of the door. The building is included in the listing for its group value.
