Description

No. 7 Church Street is a house with a core dating from the 17th century, which was extended in the 19th century and refronted in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with stone dressings and features a gabled machine-tiled roof. The house has two storeys. The facade facing the road is from the 20th century, but at the back, the original 17th-century building is visible, including a two-storey canted bay and a timber roof structure from the same period. Similar to No. 6 Church Street, this house may have been rebuilt using materials salvaged from the old Grammar School.
