Description

CHIPPING NORTON CHURCH STREET SP 3027-3127 (south side) - No 7 GV II

House. C17 core extended in the C19 and refronted in the C20. Coursed rubble stone and stone dressings with a gabled machine tiled roof. Two storeys. The roadside facade is C20, but at the back of the double ridge roof is the C17 build- ing with a 2-storey canted bay of the period and a C17 timber roof structure. As with No 6 Church Street, this house may have been rebuilt with materials salvaged from the old Grammar School.
