Description
No. 18 Church End is a house dated 1678 that has been altered. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone, with the north gable featuring timber framing and brick and stone infill. The roof is covered with old tiles. The building consists of two bays and two storeys, likely a reconstruction of an earlier wing of No. 17 Church End. There is a hipped, tiled door hood at the angle with No. 17. To the left, there is a modern two-light casement window. The plinth is made of moulded brick. On the upper floor, there is a modern two-light casement window on the left and a single light above the door. A datestone marked 'EPA 1678' is located between the first-floor windows. The left gable features a 17th-century thin brick stack with two staggered square flues and oversailing courses. Inside, there is a chamfered and stopped spine beam.
