Description

This is an 18th-century house, altered subsequently. The right-hand two bays are constructed of coursed rubble stone with brick dressings, while the left-hand bay is of chequer brick. It has an old tile roof. The house is three bays wide and two storeys high. On the ground floor of the left-hand two bays, the original shopfront has been replaced by a leaded casement window on either side of a central door, which is sheltered by a timber hood; the original shop fascia remains. The right-hand bay has a door replaced by a window, with a further two-light window beside it. All the ground floor windows have transoms. The upper floor retains three 18th-century mullioned and transomed two-light leaded casement windows. There are dentil eaves. Chimneys are located between the left-hand bays and on the south gable. The building is listed for group value.
