Description
No. 2 Dragon Tail is an 18th-century house that was extended in the 19th century. It features a brick front with rubblestone sides and rear elevations, all accented with brick dressings, and has old tile roofs. The house has three bays and two storeys. The south elevation originally had a central door, which has been replaced with French casements beneath an open gabled hood supported by cut brackets. There is a band course, three-light leaded casements, and a two-light window above the doorway. The ground floor openings are cambered arched, and the eaves are adorned with dentils. The elevation showcases grey headers with red brick dressings. The side elevation facing the street includes a dentil gable sill band. The rear wing and a 19th-century addition to the northwest feature casements. The main house has flanking stacks, and to the left, there is a single-storey brick wing with a seven-panel door to the right, which now serves as the main entrance to the house.
