Description
White Hart House is an 18th-century house, formerly an inn, located in Churchway, Haddenham. The building is constructed of wethered timber, with colourwashing and roughcast rendering, and has an old tile roof. It comprises four bays over two storeys, with the two bays on the left raised over a semi-basement which has a blocked window. A rendered plinth and a band course are also visible. The ground floor features a pair of three-light leaded casement windows to the left bays, a boarded door in the third bay with a fanlight above, and a four-pane leaded casement with transom to the right bay. Dormers with three-light windows are present on the first floor over the two left bays, a two-light window over the door in the third bay, and a further 18th-century three-light leaded casement to the right-hand side. The building has dentil eaves, colourwashed rubblestone gables, and brick end stacks. An iron scrolled inn sign bracket is affixed to the roof of the right-hand bay. A single-storey wethered timber range extends from the rear of the building.
