Description

The boundary wall runs from Number 1 (Dragon Tail Cottage) west to Gibson Lane and south to Number 2 (Cedar Cottage). This wall is made of witchert and dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. It features long witchert sections on a rubblestone plinth, with pantile and cement ridge coping along the stretch by Dragon Tail, and tile and ridge tile coping along Gibson Lane. Halfway along the Dragon Tail section, there is an outbuilding whose rear elevation is part of the wall, with the rest of the outbuilding constructed of witchert and topped with a pantile roof. At the corner with Gibson Lane, there are three brick raking buttresses. The height of the walls varies between 6 feet and 9 feet.
