Description
Long Swan Cottage is a house from the early 19th century, constructed of coursed rubblestone with dressed stone jambs, lintels, and quoins. It features a slate roof and consists of three bays, with a fourth bay above the carriageway on the right. The building is two storeys high and has a central five-panel door adorned with a diamond ornament on the horizontal panel in the centre, along with a three-pane fanlight above it. The windows are recessed barred sashes, with four panes in the outer bays and three panes above the door. An oriel window was added in 1879 on the first floor above the carriageway, which has board doors. There are flanking stacks to the main three bays. In front of the house, there are cast-iron spear standards supporting wrought iron railings and a gate, set on a brick dwarf wall.
