CHASTLETON SP2429-2529 11/31 Cart shelter approx. 25m SW of Hone Farmhouse

Cart shelter. Early C19 with minor later alterations. Regularly coursed and dressed limestone rubble with alternating angle quoins continued up to gable ends and chequered red brick to front; stone slate roof with coped verges. 2 levels. 3-bay front with wooden posts and plank door to internal staircase to right. Central gabled eaves dormer. Interior. Wide ladder staircase to loft. Collar and tie beam roof in 3 bays with double butt-purlins. Forms part of a good farmyard group. Included for group value.
