CLANFIELD BLACK BOURTON ROAD SP2802-2902 (West side) 7/21 Cart shelter approx. 22m S of Chestlion Farmhouse

Cart shelter. Probably early C19 with minor later alterations. Uncoursed limestone rubble to left and rear (farmyard walls), open to front in 5 bays and right with jowled wooden posts on pad-stones supporting half-hipped stone slate roof with gable to left. Interior: single-purlin roof in 5 bays with collar and tie beam trusses. Forms part of a good farmyard group. Included for group value. [2313]
