Description

This cart shelter, located approximately 22 meters south of Chestlion Farmhouse, is likely from the early 19th century and has undergone minor alterations. It features uncoursed limestone rubble on the left and rear sides, which serve as farmyard walls, while the front is open and consists of five bays. The structure is supported by jowled wooden posts set on pad-stones, holding up a half-hipped stone slate roof with a gable on the left side. Inside, there is a single-purlin roof spanning the five bays, supported by collar and tie beam trusses. This cart shelter is part of a significant farmyard group and is included for its group value.
