Description

The barn and attached farm building at Park Farm date from 1631 and 1743, with the attached building likely from 1743. There have been alterations in the mid-20th century. The structure is built of squared coursed limestone and features stone slate roofs. It consists of five bays, with two altered segmental-arched doorways that have 2-light cross-glazed casements above. The left doorway has a mid-20th century sliding door in a slightly reduced opening, while the blocked right doorway has a large wood lintel inserted below the arch and a 5-light window with glazing bars. A central cross window features a stone flat arch, and there are vents present.

On the left return side, there are three blind painted arches of varying sizes, with a stable door inserted in the left arch. The gable has a similar arch with a square opening inserted. A datestone inscribed "JM 1743" is visible. The lower building to the left has two blind openings, and a coped gable parapet features a blind semi-circular opening. The right return side also has a coped gable parapet, inscribed with "IH," and a small stone below it inscribed "1631" in a different script. A central blank stone panel has a brick surround, and another datestone to the right is inscribed "JM 1743." Above this, a blank panel features a cartouche of arms and crest, and there is an owl hole with a brick surround. The rear of the building has been altered, and the interior has not been inspected.
