Description
This barn, now used as stables, dates from around 1744 and has undergone some alterations in the late 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a half-hipped stone slate roof. The barn has three bays and is positioned at right angles to the road. There is a gabled porch on the west side that contains a pair of large boarded doors beneath a wooden lintel, with lean-to stables in the adjacent angles. The east side also has a pair of large boarded doors with a wooden lintel. The south end has been altered in the 20th century, with windows and a stable door added, along with a vent above. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with the nearby Strange's Farmhouse.
