Description

This gateway, dated 1620, is located approximately 200 metres southeast of Court Farmhouse. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features stone slate and stone coping. The gateway has a moulded four-centred arch with a decorated keystone and two panels above that display badly-eroded shields of arms. Above the arch, there is a moulded entablature with a Latin inscription in relief on a moulded panel that reads: ANO DOM DEUS STRIAM BEAT 1620, along with a moulded top. There are short lower sections of wall on both the left and right sides of the gateway.
