Description
The stables, now used as a store, are located approximately 15 meters west of Stone's Farmhouse in Netherton. They date from the late 18th century and are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled old tile roof. The building is one storey high with a loft and features a three-window range. There are timber lintels above double doors leading to the traphouse in the right bay, along with 19th-century stable doors and three 20th-century windows. Four ventilation holes are positioned beneath the eaves, and there are two gabled loft doors situated above the stable doors. Inside, the structure has a post and pad roof in the hay loft, which covers a wagon-horse stable, a hackney stable, and the traphouse, which includes harness pegs. The stables are included for their group value.
