Description

No. 6, The Square is a house with a modern appearance applied to an earlier building. It was refronted in the modern era with painted stucco, designed to resemble timber framing. The building has a gable supported by four carved brackets. The walls are rendered and the roof is tiled. It stands three stories high with one window on each floor. The second floor features a double-hung sash window with a flush frame and a small wooden hood. The first floor has an 18th-century window with glazing bars, also a double-hung sash, positioned beneath a hood supported by six carved brackets. Two later windows are located on the ground floor. The building forms a group with Nos. 4 to 7.
