Description

NORTH TAWTON THE SQUARE, North Tawton SS 60 SE 13/122 No. 17 GV II House. C18. Rendered stone walls. Slate roof gabled to left and hipped to right end. Gable end rendered stack at left end. Plan: probably double depth 2-room plan but it originally formed part of one of the property to the left-hand side (No. 16 q.v). Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2-window front of early C19 12-pane sashes on first floor and later C19 sashes below. Early C19 6-panel door to left. Interior: not inspected.
