Description

No. 17 The Square is a house dating from the 18th century, located in North Tawton. It features rendered stone walls and a slate roof that is gabled to the left and hipped at the right end. There is a rendered stack at the left gable end. The building likely has a double depth, two-room plan but originally formed part of the property to the left, which is No. 16. The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front that has two windows. The first floor has early 19th-century 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has later 19th-century sashes. A six-panel door from the early 19th century is located to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
