Description

Number 5, The Square is a building from the 16th or 17th century, with 18th-century window features. It has three storeys and is roughly rendered. The gable overhangs are supported by four moulded brackets, and the roof is tiled. There is one window on each storey: double hung sash windows on the first and second floors with a flush frame, small cornice, and glazing bars. The ground floor features an early 19th-century shop front, with Doric pilasters that support a frieze and a pedimented doorway. Numbers 4 to 7 form a group with this building.
