Description
The Blue Boar Public House is a building with origins dating back to the 16th or 17th century, featuring a timber-framed structure with modern brick added to the rear. It has three gables facing the road, which are rough rendered, and a rendered plinth. The left gable, situated over a carriage arch, is part of a two-storey section that includes a single casement window with glazing bars and a small cornice on the upper storey. The first floor overhangs and has a coved cornice. The middle gable has a three-light 19th-century window and a half-glazed double door. The right gable rises to three storeys, featuring a casement window with glazing bars and a small cornice on the top storey, along with two windows on the first floor and three-light metal casements beneath a single tiled hood. The ground floor includes a two-light window with glazing bars and a small glass and wood door, both situated under a continuous frieze and cornice. There is also a flush frame double-hung sash window with later glazing to the right. The building is topped with tall brick chimneys. The Blue Boar Public House is part of a group with Nos 1 to 15 (odd).
