Description
No. 4 The Square is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features painted, rendered brickwork and a tiled roof, with end and centre ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window front, with square, six-pane sash windows that have painted wedged heads, which are inscribed to imitate voussoir blocks and raised keystones. The central entrance is topped with a low-pitched pediment supported by console brackets, and the 20th-century part-glazed door includes a rectangular overlight. The house faces The Stonehouse across the square.
