Description
The Cottage is a 17th-century building constructed of limewashed rubble stone and brick, featuring a gabled thatched roof and end brick stacks. The original part of the cottage, which is set at right angles to the road, is a single storey with an attic and consists of two bays. It has been extended by one additional brick bay. The ground floor has 20th-century casement windows with cambered heads, while the attic features three light 12 leaded pane casements in the original range. The brick extension has a similar upper casement, although only one light remains intact, and the ground floor window is also from the 20th century. There are two 20th-century plank doors: one leads to a glazed porch on the original range, and the other to a tile-hung open porch on the extension.
