Description

This is a 17th-century cottage with extensions dating to 1736. It is constructed of limewashed rubble stone and brick, with gabled thatched roofs and two central brick stacks. The cottage is set at a right angle to the road. The original part of the building is a single storey with an attic, comprising three bays. This is adjoined by a two-window brick range and a further one-story addition. Modern wood casements and a glazed door are present in the original section. The upper floor has three-light, three-pane casements under cambered heads, while the ground floor of the brick addition has modern casements. A datestone is located between the upper windows of the brick addition. A cart entry and doorway are present, leading to what was originally a cowshed at the rear.
