Description
Cleveland Farmhouse is a 17th-century building with an 18th-century southeast front. The side walls and rear are constructed of rubble stone, while the southeast front features squared and dressed chalk in courses. The northeast wall has brick dressings and wooden lintels above the openings. The house has gabled slate roofs throughout, with end brick stacks on the 18th-century front. It has an L-shaped plan, with a regular 18th-century front that is two storeys high and three bays wide, featuring 8-pane sash windows and a modern door with four rectangular fanlights positioned centrally. An early 19th-century glazed porch with a lead roof has been removed, leaving a gable line above the door. The rear of the house is irregular, with two northwest gable ends and two-light leaded casements in the northeast wall. There is also a modern roughcast extension to the northwest.
