Description

Roadside Farmhouse dates to 1757, with a later addition. The building is constructed of colourwashed rubble stone and brick, with gabled machine tiled roofing to the southeast and pantiles to the northwest. Brick stacks are located at the ends and centre of the building. The plan is in a "T" shape, with a 4-bay barn projecting from the rear.

The 1757 range facing the green features three 6-pane wood casement windows, each with a cambered head. The later addition has one 6-pane sash window, one 2-pane sash window, and one 6-pane hinged window. A gabled wooden porch fronts both the 1757 range (with a 20th-century glazed door) and the later range (with a plank door).

A former stable with a hayloft is located on the rear wall of the barn. The barn shows architectural quality, including a fine queen-strut roof, although both the barn and the farmhouse are in some disrepair.
