Description

Thatchets is a 17th-century cottage located on Fernham Church Lane. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and rubble stone, featuring a gabled thatched roof and two brick stacks at the ridge. The original cottage is a single storey with an attic, displaying two windows on the front and an additional two windows on the west side. It has three eyebrow dormers; the dormer on the 20th-century extension contains two-light leaded casements, while the others have two and three-light leaded casements. The ground floor of the original range also has similar leaded casements, but the 20th-century extension features two-light windows with larger leaded panes. There is a gabled wooden glazed porch with a plank door.
