Description

Box Tree Cottage is a late 17th to early 18th century building constructed of colourwashed rubble stone with cement render applied to the attic. It features a thatched roof that is gabled and half hipped, sweeping down over two outshuts to the west. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with a three-window range. The upper windows consist of three-light, two-pane wood casements, while the lower windows are a mix of two and three-light casements. A notable feature of the cottage is a bread oven that projects from the east wall, topped with a conical stone-tiled roof.
