Description
Corner Cottage is a 17th-century building located at Fernham The Green. It features a combination of stone rubble faced in roughcast and timber framing with brick infilling, all rendered and limewashed. The cottage has a gabled thatched roof with decorative ridge and a central brick ridge stack. It is one storey high with an attic and has a four-window range. All windows are two-light, six-pane casements set between timbers. The gable end facing the road displays non-structural close studding in the attic storey and more evenly spaced studding on the ground floor, with angle struts, which are likely decorative work from the 19th century. There is a modern wood-faced thatched porch with a plank door. The interior is not of special interest.
