Description

This is a three-storey building located in Market Place, likely originally part of number 8 and later expanded in the late 18th century. It is situated close to number 2 High Street. The roof is half-hipped and covered with tiles, and there is a parapet. The gable end facing the road has a single window, with a flush framed frieze and cornice, and a double-hung sash window with glazing bars. The upper floors have two and three-light windows with wood mullions, also featuring a frieze and cornice. A modern shop front occupies the ground floor. Numbers 5 to 9, together with the County Hall, form a notable group.
