Description

No. 1 High Street is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a stucco front that conceals a hipped roof from 17th century houses, showcasing an interesting example of architectural transformation. The building has four storeys and includes a blocking course. It has two windows with a frieze and cornice, both with wooden frames. One of the windows is not blocked and is a double-hung sash with glazing bars. The elevation facing the Market Place has one window on both the third and second floors, also featuring a frieze and cornice. Nos. 1 to 15 (odd) form a group.
