Description

The building at 1 and 3 Bimport dates to the 19th century and comprises three frontages. Facing Bimport, there are five windows; two on the corner; and three (two blocked) facing into High Street. The frontages of numbers 1 Bimport and 5 High Street are rendered, while number 3 Bimport has an ashlar facade. The roof is partially tiled, with a slate section in the east and one dormer window. The windows retain their original glazing bars. Both numbers 1 and 3 have eight-panelled house doors with a rectangular fanlight featuring tracery above. Number 1 features a moulded shop window with a narrow fascia above, extending to number 3. A three-faceted shop front on the corner between Bimport and High Street is characterised by a large fascia, pilasters, and a stall riser all made of black marble. Dwarf walls and railings before numbers 5 and 7 form a group.
