Description
The National Westminster Bank, located at No 2 The Commons, is a mid-19th century building that stands three storeys high and features five windows. It has a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and an ashlar front. Above the first floor, there is a band, and the windows have segmental heads with square-headed painted stone archivolts that include triple keystones. The ground floor is stuccoed, and there is a stuccoed plinth. The entrance features a doorway flanked by pilasters, with three-light bank windows and an entablature above. This building forms a group with Nos 2 to 8 (even) on the street.
