Description
Avishays is a large stone ashlar house located on Bleke Street, dating from the 17th century. It has two storeys and attics, featuring stone mullioned windows in the attics and ashlar chimneys that suggest its historical origins. The house previously had ball finials on the gables. There have been alterations made during the Georgian period and later. The doorway still retains part of an 18th-century hood, which includes one bracket.
