Description

The building at 9 and 11 New Street dates from the early 19th century and comprises three storeys. It is constructed of grey brick with a moulded eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof. The facade has three windows and a recessed panel above the entrance door of number 9, extending to the upper floors. The ground floor features two windows without glazing bars, and number 9 has a four-panel, flush door with a rectangular fanlight, a panelled reveal, pilasters, and a cornice. A similar door, set in a deep recess, is located at the right-hand corner of number 11. A modern window has been inserted above the right-hand door. Numbers 1 to 11 (the odd numbers) are grouped together as a cohesive composition.
