Description

This early 19th-century building at numbers 3 and 5 New Street comprises two storeys with a basement, featuring a grey brick facade topped with a low-pitched slate roof and a moulded eaves cornice. It has five windows on the second floor, all with intact glazing bars. The first floor features a canted bay window on the left with sash windows, a panelled apron, a moulded cornice, and three other sash windows without glazing bars. The ground floor includes a central entrance and four sash windows, none of which retain glazing bars. The central entrance door, dating to the mid-19th century, is set within a stucco surround of fluted pilasters, a frieze, and a moulded cornice. A smaller door is located to the left at number 3. Nos 1 to 11 (odd numbers) form a group.
