Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was remodelled in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble and features a gabled old tile roof with a brick stack at one end. The cottage has a three-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, displaying a three-window range on the first floor. Timber lintels are present over three 20th-century windows, which include a blocked door to the left of centre and a canted bay window on the right. There are also two-light dormer casements from the 19th century. At the rear, there are two wings from the late 18th or early 19th century, made of similar materials and featuring 6-pane sash windows, along with a 20th-century porch. The interior and rear have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
