Description

May Tree Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with angle braces and consists of two square panels deep, sitting on a limestone rubble plinth. The cottage has a gabled thatch roof and a stone stack on the left end. It has a three-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a range of three windows. The door and windows are from the 20th century, while there are 19th-century three-light dormer casements. At the rear, there is a later outshut made of limestone rubble. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
