Description

Tudor Cottage is a 17th-century house located in Appleton, built with a timber frame consisting of three panels wide and two panels deep, resting on a limestone rubble plinth. The cottage features a gabled thatch roof and has a stone external stack that was mainly rebuilt in brick around 1962. It has a one-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and consists of a one-bay range. The original entry on the left has a 20th-century window and a brick porch added around 1962. There is also a one-storey rear extension from the same period. Inside, the cottage retains a stop-chamfered beam along with original purlins and windbraces.
