Description

Manor Farmhouse, now a house, dates from the early 18th century with a mid-19th century extension. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled roof of old tiles. A brick ridge stack was rebuilt in the mid-19th century, and there is a brick lateral stack to the mid-19th century wing. The original layout was a two-unit outshut. The farmhouse is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front, including a central mid-19th century wing. The right-hand bay has a horned mid-19th century sash window, timber lintels over a 20th-century door with a porch, and a mid-19th century four-light casement window. The left-hand bay has stop-chamfered timber lintels over a horned sash window and a mid-19th century three-light casement window. The front of the mid-19th century wing is gabled, with segmental stone arches over six-pane sash windows. A single-storey service range adjoins the right side, built of limestone rubble with a gabled old tile roof. It features an 18th-century plank door to the rear and a mid-19th century brick bay to the right. The interior includes 19th-century panelled doors, cased beams, and a quarter-turn staircase situated in front of the stack. Two 18th-century collar trusses flank the stack, and a queen-post truss is present in the service range.
